New Ways For Families™ New Ways for Families is a dynamic, exciting new program developed and introduced in 2009 by High Conflict Institute. We developed this unique program to help newly separated or divorcing families from becoming stuck in the high conflict cycle and to help post-divorce families reduce conflict and learn to co-parent effectively. Traditional parent education programs mandated by the courts work well for most families, however, some families get stuck in the high-conflict cycle of thinking and need more help re-organizing their families. This structured, 12-week program can be used at the beginning of a separation or even after a divorce. It gives parents a chance to focus on making positive changes rather than becoming preoccupied with defending themselves in the endless "attack-defend" cycle of parenting evaluation and litigation. It also serves as a partial screening tool for future parenting orders.
